Occupational Health and Safety
SÖNMEZ TRANSFORMATÖR SAN. VE TİC. A.Ş; created an Occupational Health and Safety Management system in accordance with the conditions stipulated by the ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety Management System, documented and fulfilled its applications, ensured its continuity and continuously questions the effectiveness of the system and carries out the necessary improvement studies.
150MVA/MVAr up to 220kVA, Sönmez Trafo provides distribution, power, rail system and special transformers and reactors’ design, production and after-sales and maintenance service. STS works mainly on exports and provides 75-90% of its revenue from foreign companies.
The internal and external issues related to the purpose and strategic direction of the STS is determined and to achieve the intended outputs of the OHS management systems, determined the needs and expectations of the relevant parties.
For the implementation of OHS, legal requirements are fulfilled by creating processes, procedures, instructions and related documents. Measures are taken by making risk assessments, and OHS measurements (periodic equipment controls, noise, ambient chemical and dust measurements, periodic health checks, water analysis, etc.) are made through contracted institutions.
STS evaluates the overall impact of the product’s design, purchasing, production, use and service activities on OHS.
SONMEZ TRANSFORMER SAN. VE TİC. A.Ş was established in Kartal on 1st of August in 1975 and moved to Gebze in 1981. While it was a two-partnered collective company in its establishment, it gained the status of a joint stock company at the beginning of 1985.
